Playing magazine
editor for a day (or was it two?) was very fun. I didn’t think so at first
because it was mostly color overlay, but it turned out to exceed my
expectations. I really like how mine turned out. But here it is! Color
harmonies were used again.

Project Book Festival
Project Book
Festival…what?!
I don’t know if
book festivals really exist, but if they do, I would go! Even if I’m the only
one to show up. Books are awesome. I am an avid reader, so even though a book
festival wasn’t really a given option for the assignment, I just couldn’t help
asking. My book genre of choice are classics like Jane Austen, Elisabeth
Gaskell, Charlotte Bronte, etc. So I took an elegant approach because that is
how I perceive it. (And elegance is my forte.) But it was really fun to make
.

Business Cards
So, there have
been a number of projects since I last posted. My apologies, I’m just slow. I
will be posting en masse today.
The first of my
posts is an assignment to create business cards. Now, I did not use any real
numbers and the address is totally made up. So don’t send anything to them! If
it does exist, I guess the person will be in for a surprise. Anyways, here was
my design. I did it on the fly so if it looks like there wasn’t much thought
put in to it…there was—just not enough.

The T-Shirt Project
I started a new class at the beginning of this week and have finally finished with the first project. Illustrator is a fun program to work with. (And definitely gives me less heart ache than Flash did!) Anyways, the project was a t-shirt design with our face and a favorite slogan/quote of ours. I made mine up. We had to do three with different color harmonies. Anyways, I will post the original photo of me that I traced, the work that I did, and then the final one with it on a t-shirt. Expect a lot of photos. :)
I tried to make it as realistic as possible. But that's my work! :) It was very fun to make.

Other Works
Well, I thought I'd share some other types of work I do. I really got started because of a love of art and drawing. I've been drawing for a while now, and I still have so much more to learn. If I dedicated myself the way I should, I'd be much better than I am now. But anyways, here's a few things I've drawn in the past.
The quality is not the greatest, but it's the best I can do with the scanner I have! The last two were drawn several years ago. This last one is a sketch I did of my sister, Jo. :)
That one was fun to draw (and is my favorite)!! I hope you enjoyed these!

Project 2: Interactive Kids Menu
Here is my very first animation
project! (Yes, I am aware that I posted it out of order.) This project taught
me patience. After a lot of pain, restarts, and a few nervous breakdowns, I
finally completed it. All of the artwork is my own, and was the only part of
the whole process that I thoroughly enjoyed. It still has its glitches though.
(Which is no fault of my own! I swear the program is rebellious.) All of the
coding is correct; I have double and triple checked. But, it is what it is! It
still looks pretty cool despite it’s attitude. Enjoy!
